Christmas is coming and, for a lot of us, money is tight at this time of year. But the jobs don't stop: the loft still needs insulating before the cold sets in, the garage conversion still needs boarding out, and the extension still needs finishing. The pay later options at our checkout

Klarna: pay in 3

Klarna lets you split your purchase and spread the cost over 3 instalments, paid every 30 days. Klarna shows its own terms at checkout before you agree.

PayPal Pay in 3

PayPal Pay in 3 splits your purchase into 3 monthly payments: the first is taken at checkout, and the second and third are due one and two months later. PayPal says Pay in 3 can be used on purchases from £20 to £3,000. Choose PayPal at checkout and PayPal will show you whether Pay in 3 is available for your order and its terms.

Shop Pay Installments

Shop Pay Installments lets you split eligible purchases into smaller payments over time. The plans on offer are shown at checkout when you choose Shop Pay, along with their terms.

Whichever you pick, each provider shows its own terms at checkout. Please read them carefully, and only borrow what you can afford to repay. Missed payments may affect your credit and may mean fees, depending on the provider.

PayPal offer: £15 cashback on your first Pay Later purchase

This is PayPal's offer, not an IWD offer, so PayPal runs it, decides who qualifies and pays the cashback. According to PayPal's UK page, the key terms are:

• Who: customers who have not previously completed a transaction using PayPal Pay in 3 or Pay in 30.
• Spend: at least £100 in a single eligible purchase using Pay in 3 or Pay in 30.
• When: purchases between 2 November 2026 and 7 January 2027. The offer ends on 7 January 2027 or when the first 140,000 eligible participants have completed a qualifying purchase, whichever comes first. Seeing the offer at checkout does not reserve a reward.
• How to claim: no code or extra action is needed. If you qualify, PayPal credits £15 to your PayPal balance 35 days after the purchase and emails you to confirm.
• Limits: one £15 cashback per person across both products. Purchases that are returned, refunded or not completed during the offer period do not qualify.

How to pay later at checkout

1. Fill your basket. Add the materials you need. Use our calculators and product pages to check quantities first.
2. Go to checkout. Enter your contact details and an England delivery address.
3. Choose your payment method. In the payment section, pick Klarna, PayPal (then Pay in 3) or Shop Pay (then the instalments option).
4. Check the provider's terms. The provider will show you the payment plan and its terms, and will decide whether it can offer it to you.
5. Confirm your order. Once you are accepted, your order is placed as normal and we arrange delivery.

What can I spread the cost of?

Pay later can be used across our range, as long as the provider accepts the order. Popular categories include:

Do I need an account with you to pay later?

No. You check out as normal and choose Klarna, PayPal Pay in 3 or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method. The application is with the provider, not with us.

Who decides if I can pay later?

The provider. Each one runs its own checks and shows you its own terms at checkout. Pay later is subject to status. 18+, UK residents only.

Do I still get your trade prices?

Yes. The price you see is the price you pay. Paying later just changes how the payments are split.

What if I miss a payment?

Missed payments may affect your credit and may mean fees, depending on the provider. Check the provider's terms before you agree, and only borrow what you can afford to repay.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver across England.

What about returns or refunds?

Returns are handled in line with our normal policy. If a refund is due, it goes back through the provider you paid with, and they adjust your plan in line with their terms.
