Thermal Insulated Plasterboard

Insulated plasterboard for dry-lining walls and ceilings in one fix – Kingspan Kooltherm K118 phenolic and Mannok MLK PIR laminates – at trade prices, delivered to England and Wales.

K118 or MLK?

  • Kingspan Kooltherm K118: phenolic insulation bonded to 12.5mm tapered-edge plasterboard, 2400 × 1200mm, 37.5mm to 82.5mm total thickness. Phenolic (λ 0.019 W/mK) gives the best performance for the least room lost.
  • Mannok Therm Laminate-Kraft (MLK): PIR insulation bonded to tapered-edge plasterboard, 37.5mm to 92.5mm, λ 0.022 W/mK – a cost-effective alternative.

The quoted thickness is insulation plus 12.5mm board (e.g. 62.5mm = 50mm insulation + 12.5mm plasterboard). Boards can be fixed with dabs of adhesive to masonry or screwed to battens or metal furrings; use mechanical fixings as the manufacturer specifies. For standard boards see plasterboard, and for adhesive see drylining supplies.

Delivery: prices are ex VAT. We deliver to England and Wales free on every order, with a £400 ex VAT minimum order.

Mannok MLK is a PIR insulated plasterboard. Kingspan K118 is a phenolic insulated plasterboard, which reaches a given U-value with a slightly thinner board. Both come as 2400 × 1200mm sheets for lining walls and ceilings in one fix.
