Who We Are and How Ordering Works at Insulation Warehouse Direct

Insulation Warehouse Direct is a building materials supplier based on Totnes Industrial Estate in Devon. We sell insulation, plasterboard, drylining metal, ceilings, sheet materials and Evolution fixings online, and deliver to homes and sites across mainland England and Wales. If you are new to us, this guide explains what we stock, how our prices work and what to expect when you order.

Who we supply

Our customers range from drylining and insulation contractors and small builders to homeowners taking on a loft, extension or renovation themselves. Whether you are pricing a whole job or just need a few sheets and a carton of screws, you buy from the same website at the same prices. For larger or project quantities, call or email us and we will put a quote together.

What we stock

• PIR insulation boards from Recticel, Kingspan and Mannok, in thicknesses from 20mm up to 160mm, for floors, walls and roofs. See our PIR insulation boards.
• Mineral wool: loft rolls, acoustic partition rolls and acoustic slabs from URSA, ODE and Rockwool.
• Plasterboard: standard, moisture resistant, fire resistant, sound and vapour boards, plus insulated plasterboard from Mannok and Kingspan.
• Drylining metal from Alpha and Hadley: C studs, I studs, standard and deep track, MF suspended ceiling sections, angles and Gypliner wall lining, with the beads, tapes and fillers to finish. Browse drylining and metal framing.

How our prices work

All prices on our website are shown excluding VAT. VAT is added at checkout, so trade customers can compare prices easily and homeowners should allow for the extra 20%.

Check the "sold as" line on each product before you add it to your basket, because products come in different units:

• PIR boards and plasterboard are usually priced per sheet (a 2400 × 1200mm sheet covers 2.88m²). Some Kingspan Kooltherm boards are sold by the pack.
• Metal studs, track and MF ceiling sections are sold in packs of 10 lengths.
• Loft and acoustic rolls are priced per roll, and the coverage in m² is shown in the title.
• Evolution fixings are sold in full cartons, and each size option shows how many screws the carton holds.

Working out what you need

Ordering the right quantity first time saves a second delivery and a half-finished job. We have built three free calculators that price their results live from our shelves and let you add the whole list to your basket:

• PIR U-value calculator: checks a floor, wall or roof against Part L and finds the thinnest board we stock that meets the target.

Delivery

• We deliver to addresses in mainland England and Wales. We do not currently deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland or the islands.
• We aim to deliver within delivery timing depends on stock and location. We do not offer next-day delivery, so order in good time.
• Orders placed outside office hours are processed the next working day.
• Most orders arrive on a lorry with a truck-mounted forklift. Let us know about narrow lanes, weight limits or anything else that could make access difficult.
• If you need materials on site by a particular date, call or email us before you order to confirm it.

Do you deliver to Scotland?

Not at the moment. We deliver to mainland England and Wales only.

Are your prices trade prices?

Our website prices are the same for everyone and are shown ex VAT. For large or repeat project quantities, ask us for a quote.

Can you check my materials list?

Yes. Send us your list, drawings or calculator results and we will check it over before you order.
