Suspended Ceiling Kits: Grid and 600 x 600 Tiles
A suspended ceiling kit is the set of parts needed to hang a ceiling below the existing one: perimeter trim, grid, hangers and tiles. We sell these parts separately, so you can mix tiles and grid to suit the room and buy only the quantities you need. Prices are shown ex VAT.
What is in a suspended ceiling kit?
- Perimeter wall angle fixed around the walls to support the edge tiles.
- Main runners that span the room and hang from the ceiling above.
- Cross tees (1200mm and 600mm) that clip between the main runners to form the grid.
- Hangers and fixings: suspension wire, brackets and anchors.
- 600 x 600mm tiles that drop into the grid.
Choose your ceiling grid
Our ceiling grid range includes Rockfon T24 Click, OWA CLIQ 24, USG Donn DX24 and TVS Cipriani grid in 24mm and 15mm profiles. Use grid from the same system as your tiles where you can, and check the tile edge: square edge tiles sit flat on the grid, while tegular tiles have a rebated edge that sits slightly below it.
Choose your 600 x 600mm tiles
Our ceiling tiles include Zentia Aruba, Rockfon Artic+, OWA Sandila/N and Mezz Pro, TVS mineral, acoustic and healthcare tiles, Knauf AMF Thermatex and Elevate EasyCare wipeable tiles. Work out how much you need
Each 600 x 600mm tile covers 0.36m², so you need roughly 2.8 tiles per m² before allowing for cut tiles at the edges. A 20m² room needs about 56 tiles plus an allowance for cuts. In a standard 600 x 600mm layout, main runners sit at 1200mm centres, 1200mm cross tees clip in at 600mm centres, and 600mm cross tees fill the gaps between them.

Hangers, fixings and access panels
You will need suspension wire and fixings to the structure above. We stock Hampton Steel suspension wire, TVS ceiling grid accessories and Evolution ceiling anchors. If you need to reach pipes or cables above the ceiling, choose an access panel or inspection hatch and allow for it in your layout. What size are the tiles?
Most tiles we stock are 600 x 600mm. Some TVS ranges also come in 1200 x 600mm packs.
Can I fit an access panel in a suspended ceiling?
Yes. Tiles can be lifted out of an exposed grid ceiling, and for plasterboard ceilings you can fit an access panel. See our access panels collection.
